MPC2KXL (locked) after Loading MIDI DUMP

I have a zip with several songs on it etc, but the disk has 94.6M left. The other day I saved a SONG with SEQ etc, as ALL, that's how I save most songs. When I loaded the song, I noticed the MPC locked during playback of the MIDI dump, I thought is was just the song, so I made up some crap just to see what would happen, well it was all MIDI since I didn't want to load up all the dums ( it loaded fine). Well then I made some more crap with a Midi dump and drums, guess what the MPC locked up again during the DUMP playback. But I have other songs with DUMP files and drums and they load fine????? Has anyone seen this?

I saved the same ALL one in the ROOT and one in a New folder. The dump locks in the ROOT and loads fine from the Folder. I guess I had abut 20-30 different things in ROOT and no folders, so I made a new one and everything is back to norm with my new FOLDER. Peace....

btw, In the SAVE screen change your primary device to a device that is pre-loaded, like a SCSI CDROM and turn Auto-Load off and the MPC will boot up quicker. Go to SAVE then Change SETUP. Peace and I am out..

update: That FOLDER SCHIT didn't work, just tried it again. Any suggestions?

Damn cobra..I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to dump a scant lil file from my MPC to my esi 4k...took forever and the esi kept stopping on me...after the esi got done doing its thing(whatever that is...), the MPC was still hung like a lynched Lex Steele....damnnnn

This ish. Anynone ?? I noticed that it hangs at the dump, but no other files on the disk do this. Only the new ones with or without the new folder.

I used another Zip, the new files load fine the 1st time (dumps). But if I delete and reload the same ALL file with DUMP, the MPC locks up on the dump again..... So I reboot and load from NEW zip, loads ok, but this is new to me. ----------> S.hit is locking again...........

I guess I will reload the OS. Later.

I reloaded the OS, still no change. Calling Akai on Monday. If anyone has had an episode like this, please offer and suggestions. Peace..
