gotta give respect to kangz man im looking forward to this unit but had to cope a 1k in the meantime but if this thing drops the right price might have to trade cos the pds on ur unit look more repsonsive.

I appreciate the feedback regarding the sequencer resolution, cause I know I be asking every time you drop through.

A lot of these drum machines stick to 96ppqn and that's perfect. The thing is though, I don't use quantize, EVER ! With a low ppqn setting, the machine won't FULLY capture your own swing with the quantize turned off, but instead adds its own. You can easily tell on the lesser mpcs that they definitely have more of a "bounce" to their swing than something like the mv8000. Regardless, both machines are still the shieeeet.

That was the thing that initially caught my attention and is, potentially, a huge plus as the ASR-X was an incredible machine. Looking forward to finding out more about workflow. The ASR-X was extremely powerful but the user interface wasn't the greatest.

I currently own a MPC2000xl and MPC3000 so i really cant say that i would be quick to purchase one of these boxes...but on the flipside i think some of the features listed should make AKAI and Roland wake up when it comes to features that could be useful on their new machines. Now granted having a bunch of features at your fingertips is a blessing and curse. Maybe im from the old school who just feels "Less Is More"

The other thing that concerns me is the sequencer of this thing..how accurate is the timing,maximum note capacity etc. The midi implementation would be a factor too.

At the end of the day based off specs, Its great too see some brotha's making what seems to be a nice product (I like the Youtube video's)

Beat Kangz you lost yourself a possible costumer, as I said before, dude I am almost 30.
