To each his own ikke. For me I wanted to learn what I didn`t know in order to get full usage of my sampler functions so I put two and two together and bam it makes sense the 4K has a Z8 and the Z8 came out before the 4K. I agree that akai should have included a more comprehensive manual in the first place. But in this life I learned one could either sit and **** or get off my ass and do for self. Akai didn`t included all this infomation but by trail and error I`m learning more and figuring out. Akai really assumes too much that most users are very familiar with these instruments. Most are first and second time buyers like myself haven`t ever worked with an engineer or in a professional studio. But I won`t let that stop my development and goals. I bought this machine for a reason to make great music. I ride to work everyday on the train which is now a good 50 min ride each way (I moved near the beach). So I use that time on the train like my man Tony Maserati (famous mixer and engineer of Mariah, Mary, Faith, Kelly, Maxwell and others) his mixes are tight does everyday to learn something new to read the manual. I use common sense and bring only one. Most people ride the train with a newspaper, comic, or some shit listening to a walkman I choose to educate myself. No other buster, lame or dickhead is going to help you not even Akai. So my philosophy is to get my mind right and do me. _Do you, are just give up and moan you if you don`t have the information, you won`t know. Find out what you don`t know. I picked up MPC tutor`s ebook and that has shit in there that helps too. Go for self. Or forever b*i*t*c*h and moan. I for one ain`t my mofo kin crab in a bucket and I ain`t no miser either I shared what I learned. Do you fellow MPC user.
P.S. the auto sampling records and stops repeatly on the S6000 and Z8 so you can multisample an entire sample CD across the keyboard while you watch TV, have lunch, or take a dump. You don`t even have to be in the same room. So far the 4K might not have this function installed is what in the Z8 manual. The parameter auto recording would show under the threshold window. For the others heed the tip or forget it. It`s all up to you follow the crowd or learn the shit yourself. Ikke talk to sean or write Akai about your legitmate compliants but don`t sweat I Blue the muthakin Haze baby
