So, er, you have a few programs. You go to a new track, select your program so you can play your desired sounds, press record, and WTF...your program jumps back to program 1 !

Press stop, change the program again so you can play your desired sounds press record, and all is well.....

Anyone else getting this with 1.22? Its doing my head in..........

Cheers

yer i been getn this problem since day1.. u can get around it tho.. this happens when u record on track 1 with pgm 1. then u take off overdub and let it keep it playing. while it is still playing u change to track 2 and pgm 2.. as soon as it starts recording or u press overdub while it is playin the program bounces bak to pgm 1. what seems to work for me is if after i have recorded track 1 wid pgm 1, while the beat is still playin, or if ive stopped it, i change the program of track 2 to off, and then change it bak to pgm 2. then que to record and all is well.

jimblah, you said "this happens when u record on track 1 with pgm 1". Do you mean specifically and only when you record on that track and program number? or were you speaking generally?

I have noticed that the 2500 seems to play a sequence with the correct program number for quite a while, and then at an apparently random point, changes back to program 1, often (though not always) when I'm playing the keyboard of an external synth and not even touching the 2500.

The program number (let's say it's No.2) on the 2500 does not change, only a reset message is sent to the external device; then I have to flip the wheel of the 2500 to Prog No.3 and back to No.2 to resend the right program number.
