Just keep grinding. Beat Kangz. The Thang is seriously one of the most incredible products coming out. Obviously the fact that the threads on these forums are still going means that something is being done right regardless of the energy behind it because when the machine, software, and I-Phone app actually drop tunes will go from flat to major:) It's seriously an amazing product and I have touched it, etc. so I can say that. [disclosure Beat Kangz are my fam] The Kangz (we) are working hard and are getting ready to put out an instrument that is going to shake this game up fiercely.

At first I found it difficult to believe that people still have such negative views and energy on it but then I remember that's just the nature of the internet forums and to paraphrase Katt Williams "get you some haters cause when you have a bunch of haters you are doing something right". I didn't start becoming a successful artist till I rounded up some haters. (Oh there we go with the hater thing again... - look if you are not hater then it doesn't apply to you perhaps your indifferent) The bottom line is once this product drops not only will it change the way people perceive drum machines/samplers but change the way people look at American innovation in this field.

Focus on the positivity, don't feed into the negative energy, then watch for neigh sayers to jump on the band wagon after the Thang drops and people actually realize that it is the next level. There are in fact scores of people that have actually contacted the Kangz to express their respect and intention to build a relationship to ensure the success of this Thang. There are many people that want to see this machine succeed because they want this game to be elevated and provide some real competition in a field where a monopoly is asleep at the technological wheel resting and eating off their rep while the rest of the world's industries are looking at the 21st century as a chance to propel innovation into the realm of future :) Have no doubt that certain high powered corporate execs are watching this as this may be the first real threat to ever truly come after their top product line so ferociously in terms of specs.

There is also a great deal of hoopla over the name "Beat Thang". Regardless of whether people admit it or not "thang" is a part of the english slang vernacular that transcends. Just like a million other words that we use everyday. I studied a great deal on speech in classical theatre studies and people in general do not speak proper English, my point is for Beat Kangz to name their product in actual vernacular and often phonetic speech instead of some ancient mythical gods of cultures past is about as real as sunlight on your skin. To me it was refreshing and while I know that change is difficult for people en mass I have a feeling that in time people will grow to appreciate the character and ultimately a culture will develop where people will eventually make their own slang terminology for it.

Anyway I'm going to go eat some breakfast now.

respect and light to all.

What a retarded view of running a business that is!

Nothing but idle talk has rolled on here for 36 pages, with very little substance from yourselves. The specs look great and the machine looks sort of funky, so how's about keeping it zipped from now until the unit drops??!! We all know about the beef with Akai, how Roger Linn is a has-been, and of course how the Kang Thang is gonna bang...

The mini-hole you've dug in here and across the net will be filled in within minutes if your machine is really that good, it just gets boring being told it is with nothing to back it up.

Genuine 'updates' are of course welcome... screenshots, photos, audio examples... that kind of thing??

kool,
the quote was a reference to Katt Williams and specifically to particulat comments. I didn't make that clear forgive me. This wasn't meant to be an update. Just my thoughts after reading posts. Perhaps it's retarded but for me it's been great because as many people hate you, you will find more people that love ya.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

put the LSD away hippie

I can't speak for all the other 'haters', but I buy products based on sound quality, feature set, user interface and interoperability with my other gear, not English vernacular and alleged innovation that remains unstated and unproven.

I'd think someone who labels themselves as "Kangs" (sic) would have the budget to hire real spammers, not pseudo hippie spammers, but what do I know...I'm just a hater
