Any one tried one of these? I found a Kingston 133x on the net for 30 bucks.

Even when I had the MPC4000, I remember buying a 120gb hard drive for it. But still, I never ended using more than 1gb, and most of that was filled with sound library sounds I never used.

But the kingstons measure different.
Not sure how a 133X kingston compares to 15 MBS sandisk. Thats why I suggested reading the reviews.
In fact I'm not even sure that Kingston uses the cf1-2-3 standard?
Still sounds like good storage for the price IMO, even if you dont use it as your "working" card.

30 bucks for that 16 seems like a good price. If it did turn out to be just too slow to use as a main card, it would at least be great as a second storage card. Easy to keep track of and carry with mobs of room.
Also the thing that makes them slower in addition to the larger size is the seek time. Its kind of hard to figure out exactly what the seek time on different brands are because they seem to measure them differently. But if you read some reviews on amazon the camera buffs will give you some good info. Like some cards are quicker at some things like saving a pic and resetting for another one, but much slower at transferring to a PC.
Read some reviews on amazon.
If its a cf1 compatible the price wouldn't be as great of a deal obviously (still good though for all that storage IMO). Try to make sure its a cf2 compatible.
BTW: I wonder what would happen if you put a cf3 in it?
