Yes it is.
In the simplist terms in makes your MPC-60 as close to a 3000 as possible, plus allows you to add the optional SCSI interface.
Adding the R. Linn update and Marion hardware made my old MPC-60II a real heavy hitter.
The only drawback was that the 60's have those dying displays that make you wanna attach a light to your head, and you have to partition the drives that you use with the SCSI.
If you like the sound of the 60 and don't use the sample dump on it then the update is worth it.
Best part about when I order mine was that I actually got to kick it with Roger Linn on the phone for a minute.
This was like 98' I think.
