Why? Because I got the XL for $100.00, and the 500 for $200.00. Cheap investments, you can always sell em later for more money..
Besides getting them for cheap prices, musically, the 2000XL and the 500 do nothing but collect dust.
I'd buy another MPC if I found it for a cheap price.
im with you..except i paid an extra $350.00 on top of what u paid for the xl,,but...i got my 500 for $75.00..
except one other thing..check this out..im an old schooler..so for some odd reason when i hear people talking about the different sound comming from each mpc,,,dude i can hear the warmth in the 2000xl,,it has that boom bap sound,,where as the 2500 has that more modern sound..and the 500..well that takes batteries so,,,cant beat that!!!
so i use all three
my wife goes to the gym daily and loves excercise music,,so i make a lot of high tempo mixes on the 2500 and i make my grimey style beats on the xl
and the 500 has been in more hotels than a prostitute..i love that thing!!
and like u said,,im constintly looking for a good deal on one and i'm sure i'll scoop if i find one!!
pace!! <<not a typo
