seems cool, i expect there will be pad layer/adsr/filter limitations though. i assume jj would of said "the pgm of mpc1000..." if that wasnt the case.
yeah. the fact that it can read all of those different formats (even AKAI OS!) means that it is just reading the midi info only: notes, velocity, aftertouch ...that's about it. if you have a DAW, you already have a sequencer that does all this and tons more. i wonder if it will even deal with the MIDI CC data recorded into the sequence via the q-links?
JJ is correct that this is not "mpc related" in that it could probably read any MIDI file from any sequencer, but then you miss out on all of the machine-specific tweaks/automation in the sequence.
