The integration of mpc sequences makes sense. Otherwise he wouldn't sell any copies of his software sequencer.
I guess it will work in the two directions mpc=>pc and pc=>mpc. My real opinion is if that sofware sequencer can render tracks individually it will be dope for those who don't have a multitrack recorder or a decent soundcard.

of course it will be 2xl compatible only.

...but what about the filters, adsr, q-links, layers, etc... ?
will the JJ sequencer be able to play / manipulate those? all the GPE stuff?
almost certainly not.

The sequence of MPC1000 and MPC2500 can be read.
The sequence made from AKAI OS, JJ OS1, OS2, and OS2XL can be read.

seems cool, i expect there will be pad layer/adsr/filter limitations though. i assume jj would of said "the pgm of mpc1000..." if that wasnt the case. actually looking forward to trying out though, but will take a lot for me to actually buy it..as grateful as i am for jj's contribution to my humble mpc1000.

yeah. the fact that it can read all of those different formats (even AKAI OS!) means that it is just reading the midi info only: notes, velocity, aftertouch ...that's about it. if you have a DAW, you already have a sequencer that does all this and tons more. i wonder if it will even deal with the MIDI CC data recorded into the sequence via the q-links?

JJ is correct that this is not "mpc related" in that it could probably read any MIDI file from any sequencer, but then you miss out on all of the machine-specific tweaks/automation in the sequence.

I want to know if this will allow us to render tracks as WAV files, so we can drop it into Pro-Tools! This will totally eliminate the need to track out beats. If it can't render the tracks, JJ, PLEASE include an option to export the file to a Protool readable format!
