Hello. So I have been reading around here for a bit and this is my first post. I just got an MPC500 the other day. I'm moving over from reason to hardware. I did a search on the forums and couldn't find anything. and of course read the manual. sorry if its a repost.
so here's my problem.
I have a 2 Bar sample. Basically just a drum loop I sampled off a record. Its roughly 132BPM which I got using a tap tempo.
But what I want is to slow it down to 105BPM and have the 2 bars loop.
So I set my sequence to 2 bars then went to the time stretch within trim mode. Set my original BPM of 132 and my new one to 105.
Now theoretically I should be able to set my sequences tempo to 105 (my new stretched temp) and lay down the sample on the down beat and it should loop yeah? Well its a little off and I was wondering what I can do to get it looping better. I want to match it with another sample which will be at 105 as well.
So what am i doing wrong? is my stretching method correct or is there another way?
Sorry if that didn't make much sense.
Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me out!
