I have a mpc2500 that I just bought.. I got it cheap, however it has a couple of issues..
One I posted about is crackling from the right out jack/headphone jack(right side), and a line out at the top of the LCD.
Its under warranty and I have gotten an RA number from akai to send it in and have it repaired on them.
WHich brings me to my question.
Im wondering whether I should get the jj osxl now or later since the password belongs to the product ID in the machine. If akai deems for whatever reason that my mpc needs to be replaced, or they have to replace the mainboard which I believe is where the product ID is stored at, then when I got it back after repair I would be forced to purchase an osxl password all over again.
on the other hand, if they just replace parts not related to the product ID, then buying the password now is no problem.
I just dont wanna pay 113 bucks twice.
Suggestions?
Thanks
