yeah I did mine last night. im actually kinda disappointed with how they look. they are white, and most of the white ones have a SLIGHT blue-ish tint to them, but these are WAY to blue. they end up looking baby blue/lilac actually, not white.
I did really notice last night that the pcb's in the 2500 are MUCH flimsier and less rigid than the 5000's pcb's.
and those contact points that the leds solder to are really flimsy as well. the 5000 led install was a BREEZE and I actually enjoyed it. the 2500 on the other hand is nerve wracking cause you have to be mad mad careful not not apply too much heat or the contacts WILL break away from the board.
which brings me to my issue. I am going to try finding the exact leds I want so they are actually white, but im worried about having to remove and replace them AGAIN for fear that a 2nd attempt (3rd if you count the 1st at akai) will cause the contacts to break away.
it'll take days if not a week or so to get the secondary leds.. so i guess i'll finish my black buttons and take some pics as is and get opinions from you guys.
