Question: i sample from all types of media....film, tv, records, cd, vinyl, tape, vhs, real life, etc, basically anything i can get my hands on. but my question to you is, how is spending hours "digging" in a record shop with a portable turntable any different from spending hours at home diggin on youtube/torrent sites? (not including the fact that u gotta pay for what u find in record shops)
in my opinion , digging is digging, some shit you cant find on vinyl and some u cant find online, so just cus u find a dope sample on youtube that aint even been produced on vinyl does that mean that the song u create loses credibility?
and what if i find a sample of a quote in a movie? are u saying in order for me to not be regarded as lazy i gotta go find that that audio tape of that movie and then sample that?
