After watching the evolution of the track, and me being self taught and reading different stuff, He makes tracks the same way I do. Loads his drums, samples and creates from there. Like a shapeless slab of clay taking form.
The sky is the limit from there. The camera dude was either on Crack or getting some head.....he wouldn't keep the camera still for Sh!t !!
But over all?...Killer material man. Especially for newbies who dont gotta clue as to where to start. Like the time I started out airbrushing T-shirts, and truck Tailgates back in the day. East Coast. 1983.
A dude walked up to me at a Pep Boys Auto store and was checking the mural I had put on my Toyota truck. A Mexican dude. Jose Hernandez.
After learning he was from Cali, land of the lowriders and phat assed rides,
me and my boy was like Whaaaaaat?.....We grilled his ass for at least an hour with questions.
Living in a Military town, this Kat said he was getting deployed and had something he needed to give a good Home to. A Box full of LowRider Mags and MiniTruck Mags. Opened up pandoras box for me with all the ideas and styles.......I got so many ideas and started hooking everybody up with wicked assed paint schemes, Hydraulics, Dump Beds, (1st dump bed truck on the east coast!!!)
.....None of my paint jobs ever took less than 2nd place. Many many cars and trucks...Bikes...
The Point is, These videos?......Show someone with Unleased Skill and Pent up Ideas How to construct his Craft and Turn him loose on the world...Thats the next "Monster on the Machine"!

How did my man change the pitch of his bass samples? Like he seperated the bass from a sample and then changed the pitch and assigned them to several pads. Do you think he used the NV slider and assigned his pads individually 1 pad at a time? The video didn't show how he did it. I have done this before on a 2000 but I just got my XL about a month ago, and just copped a 2nd one (Beat to Hell and Dirty as F*CK but it works!!) and havent had much time to mess with the XL's. I did download the manual and still reading it. Wussup...am I off track with my man's method?

Yeah this sh*t is pretty old, been online 4 a while.
Crazy: he said he'd probably use that beat with someone(the sesame street samples one), a couple days later I was listenin to this track on a mix CD and I heard it - I was like yeaaah I seen this sh*t being done. Only diff was a delay on the samples, sounded dope tho.

You can change them in the program window...Press SHIFT+6 and choose the DRUM you're working on (if you don't know what this means just choose DRUM1). Now you're in the assign window where you can assign sounds to pads. Now press PARAMS to get to the PARAMS window, from there you can change the attack, delay, tuning, etc..

or you could cut out bass from a sample assign it to a pad and then use the 16 levels function like itchyvinly said.

I am gonna post some beats when I get fully acclaimated to this XL.
Coming from the 2K I know theres alot more conveiniences on the XL so once I learn the ins and outs, its on!
Big Ups to my man "The Nerd" for hooking me up wit the Avitar. I can't take the credit for creating it, He hipped me to it and I thought it would be cool on here since we deal with so many damn Disks be they Zip, Floppy, or CD. Maybe I can get him to make an avitar with a CD hovering like a Flyin Saucer With Dr. Dre behind the wheel chasing Jermaine Dupree.....Oh How Nasssssssteeeeee!
