why do you prefer the 2000 over the 1000? its shocking to hear that because a lot of people are saying get the 1000 due to the extra features and have all but written off the 2000 classic. i just got a 2000 classic a week ago and I love mine

And why not an XL? Are the 1000s going that cheap today?

Still more configurations to do... need to swing everything a bit closer too... might require some custom furniture. It has been refreshing to cut the computer out though. I think I'd prefer the synths on the side and everything else in the middle, but not quite sure yet. Need to try this configuration out a bit more to see what I think.
Got a few things here...
Yamaha 5" Monitors
Rock It 10" Woofer
Vinyl (need to get the rest up here) Rockin' Disney Classics for the baby
Technics 1200mkII Turntable
MidiSport 8x8
Patch Bay (for all my routing needs)
Aural Exciter
Akai MPC 1k
Moog Voyager Anniversary
Korg Triton Studio
Korg Kaoss Pad 2
A few (okay 4) Moogerfoogers
Yamaha Motif Rack ES
Access Virus TI Desktop (with the TI2 rackmount... go go dremel tool)
Synth Mangler/Hymn Strangler
Flame Midi Talking Synth
Lots of f'ing midi/audio cables
Not a perfectly organized setup... but I'll get there.
Baby and a bag of 150 fun balls just add to the chaos.

Here's what my bandmate called my spaceship. I'll post some more pictures of the surrounding area in the future(which contains turntable, mic booth and monitors). My aim in this setup was to get everything as reachable as possible and also to get the samplers up so my neck could get some relief from the constant bending. I'm really liking the mpc like this, simply for that reason; I can sit back in my chair and make the beat as opposed to hunching over the machine.
Donno if I understand the set-up, but I like that yr rocking the sp-505 with the mpc 1k. What's with that orange stripe down the front right of the 505? You paint that on, or is it a sticker or something?
That's a deadly set-up tho (505 / 1k).
Peace.
