Data wheel not working... has me bummed out...

Any one have any ideas as to why the data wheel would stop working on my xl?

You may need to open it up and make sure it's not broken or cracked.If so you can call Akai and get a new one.626-794-0052....Peace.

Hey also, if that is the problem. What's the cost to replace it? I can do it myself...

I pulled the wheel off, the middle of it looks good. I turned it on and tried to manual turn the pot itself, still nothing. Do I need to replace the mainboard that it resides on?

It looks ok as far as i can tell.If the problem persist you may wanna take it in for a quick repair.It should be pretty cheap though.....Peace.

I just sent it off to VST. They said about $8 for the part and $65 for labor and hr. But hey, they gotta make a living too... Hopefully it will be a quick fix for them, they must get this kind of stuff all the time...

It may take a little time and cost a little doe but it's worth it in the long run....Peace.
