...by giving you the ability to alter the attack, decay, sustain and release. just like on a synth. it's a simple, but very versatile tool.

yeah, layering and ADSR are two distinct things.
you can still alter the attack and decay in OS1, that's what i run. same as you -- no money.

ADSR gives alot more control than just Atack and decay, you can really shape the sound with alot more creative freedom, its really good when using anything with Note-On.
