* Q EVENT: sends/records Q-LINK 1-6 events, function as defined in Qlink Receive.
This allows to control entire Parts or FX parameters, regardless of the Out setting of the current active track.
There are indeed only 6 Q-LINK EVENTs per MULTI.
* CONTROL CHANGE: sends/records the selected MIDI CC data.
The CC data is sent according to the Out setting of the current active Track.
- If the Track Out is set to Part, the CC is sent to that Part. Using the Modulation Matrix in the PROGRAM assigned to that Part allows to define the action of the CC data on that Program.
- If the Track Out is set to a MIDI Port and a MIDI Channel, the CC is sent to that MIDI Channel on the selected MIDI Port (INT-A/B or OUT-A/D)
- If the Track Out is set to a MIDI Port and ANY channel, the CC is sent to that selected MIDI Port, on the MIDI Channel specified in QLINK RECEIVE.
In any case, the recorded data is MIDI CC, and is not affected even is the Q-LINK setup is changed.
* PAD CONTROL: sends/records the assigned PAD CONTROL parameter (PITCH, DECAY, CUTOFF, ...) on the selected Pad.
The recorded data is the selected parameter for the selected pad, and is not affected even is the Q-LINK setup is changed.
Of course, this only works in the MPC4000 if the Out of the current active track is routed to a Part containing a DRUM Program.
However, the MIDI messages sent by PAD CONTROL are "MIDI Key-based Controllers Message" and some external sound modules might be able to respond to some of those (for instance, some drum sound module respond to the VOLUME and PAN Pad controls on individual durms sounds).
I mean it should be able to jump to the most used functions on screen rather than haveing to cruse your way through all the other values.
That's what the BLOCK CURSOR keys are there for: jump to the closest block and cursor to the function. This allows to get to almost any parameter in 4 presses or less.
In V1.60, we also added shortcut access to common windows from the MISC mode (SYNC, Metronome, Auto-Punch, Tempo Map and Sequence Transpose), as well as a direct access to the TIMING CORRECT window by holding down the TIMING CORRECT key.
when selecting a another seq in "copy to" the bars should automatikly adjust themself to that pattern .. cos its comon sence .. why would I want to copy something from 3.456-5.345 in another pattern .. the odds are I'll be copying whole bars 1.00-5.00
Errrr... it already does that! The default destination in COPY TO is always 001.01.000.
Of course, the source copy range defaults to the selection that you just made. If you want to copy whole bars, simply select whole bars (using SHIFT + << BAR >> keys in SEQ EDIT) before opening the COPY window.
