Maschine's pads are far superior to the MPC/MPD pads in terms of sensitivity, playability, and more versatile because it gives visual feedback. MPC/MPD pads are only good for percussive samples. It fails when you try to play something like a melody of sustained notes in gated mode for example. It's hard not to make a mistake when doing the same on the MPC. Maschine's pads are very similar to the pads on the padKontrol which have set the standard for drum pad quality. MPC/MPD pads are unique and do have great feel, not to mention they're pressure sensitive but they're very limited in comparison.
I wouldnt go that far, maschines pads dont feel bad, much better than MV's IMO. But I would still rather have MPC pads on there

from my editing experience in the MV with mouse was bit pain when comes down to moving single notes. it worked better for me to move around and arrange sequences than anything else. another drawback I found was not being able to resize any windows
