I'm in a psych band, and while I play a full wooden hammond in the jam space, it's intensely difficult to truck around. I have a nord lead 2x, but you can't really get organ sounds out of it obviously. Also, and most importantly, I'm a poor student with no money that can't afford to buy any more equipment right now.
So here was my idea, and I'm probably going to figure it out before someone posts.. but just in case I don't.
I figure I get samples of notes from an organ or rhodes, create a program of all the samples in order, and then use my synth to trigger the notes via midi. triggering a sample usually means the sample starts and ends, so there'd have to be a way of keeping the sample looping while I'm holding down the key, and then mute when I let go. on top of that, there'd have to be a way to eliminate any 'looping clips' (my obvious lack of terminology). But you know what I mean.
Has anyone tried this? Does anyone know the 1000 better than I do and might be able to offer tips? thanks for any help. even a simple "yes that works" or "no that wont work" would be nice.
