To hear it well I have to turn my speakers up to halfway, and when using the MPC I usually only do 25% and even then they are loud as shit. I think I might need a pre-amp?

Other than that, I really don't know what the hell you're talking about. The reason being is because I can't tell if you're saying it's too quiet or too loud as you're changing gain on multiple things in your signal chain.

For an MPC you'll be using RCA and you'll need to get that to line level, so you'll need a phono pre-amp or DJ mixer most likely. I'm still buzzing from last night and didn't even think about the MPC, I was thinking you were talking about connecting it to an audio interface. Sorry.
