Now you are trying to say that you meant that you have to go through a cumbersome process of going to another MPC menu to do it. In Maschine, you have to hold down a pad and turn a knob to change the pitch. In the same amount of time, you hit the mode button and a pad to go into program mode (while the sequencing is still playing). Then you can quickly change the pitch of any sample on the fly.
Dude, it took you that long and that's all you could come up with? You're slipping Askia. Tsk tsk... I expected so much more from you.
Feel free to find the post where I "clearly say that the MPC can not change pitch in real time." You seem to have some sort of comprehension problem. It's ok though, I won't make fun of you about it. What I did say though time and time again is that it takes longer to any "real time" changes of pitch on the fly on the MPC whereas on Maschine, you don't need to go to any mode, you just do it.

Maybe it's as easy to you but how is it easier on the MPC?
Askia Shaheed wrote:You say you can't use the real time pitch shift on incoming audio and re-sample? Damn..I do this everyday. I guess I have that uber-JJ OS then.
Which version of JJ OS are you on? I'm talking about JJ OS 2 that I had on my 1k. Here's the OS 2 real-time pitch shift documentation:
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2/extra.htmYou'll notice that it says "It cannot record.
Moreover, it cannot be used simultaneously with other tracks.
It cannot be used simultaneously with "Input thru".
When "Input thru" is set to ON, "Input thru" is turned OFF automatically."
But if you got that super secret uber-JJ OS that only you have a copy of that can do this, why not share it with the other poor souls struggling with the inferior JJ OS?
