Dude, it took you that long and that's all you could come up with? You're slipping Askia. Tsk tsk... I expected so much more from you.
I am happy to continue to point out how much you don't know about MPCs. I use JJ OSXL2 and use the real time pitchshift when I sample vinyl or any audio I have stored on my computers hard drive. You claim you used JJ OS2 which is another lie:
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2/rtps_e.htmClearly you can see that OS2 (as well as OS 2XL) can record audio pitched in real time. This is something that Maschine cannot do period. This is not simply tuning incoming audio. This is tuning the audio without changing the tempo. But your lack of MPC knowledge is nothing to sweat over. But but you can't convert MPC users effectively without fully understanding the things we like about MPCs.
Next you keep talking about how cumbersome the MPC is because it changes a samples pitch in program mode. And point out how Maschine can do it from the main mode by "holding down a pad and turning a knob." This would be as silly as me saying it is cumbersome to have to "hold down Maschine's pads and turn a knob" when on an MPC, you just tap a pad (without holding it down) and turn the data wheel to adjust the pitch. It would be just as silly for me to point out that you have to turn Mashine's tiny knob to tune the sample (again while holding down the pad) while you can use the MPCs more ergonomic data wheel

Dude, give it up so when can get down to the more important features.
1. For example, using an MPC 2500 w/ JJ OS2XL, you can assign any MODE to its number keys as a short cut. So now you have one button access to any MODE like the original MPC 60 and 3000.
2. Sample chopping. You claim that Maschine chops as well as an MPC. Prove it. I don't see anything in its documentation that shows it can non-destructively chop samples and freely adjust a the slices start and end points without impacting another slice.
3. MPC swing/quantize. Give us some detail about why Maschine is better than an MPC in this regard...a key MPC feature.
4. Discuss how Maschine does Program change and setting MSB/LSB for control of external MIDI instruments.
5. Discuss how Mashine can lock tracks so you can't edit or erase them by accident
6. Discuss how Mashine's track mute, pad mute, group mute and the recording of mute auto mation is superior to an MPC
7. Discuss how easy it is to name or rename audio files using Maschine's hardware
8. Discuss how superior Maschine is when it comes to creating programs, layering samples on a pad, adjust the panning of these sounds...all one one screen.
9. Disucc Maschines ARP and Chords function
10. Discuss how quickly you can change Maschine's hardware surface into a controller (sending MIDI CC messages) for external instruments and software
I am looking forward to hearing about all the advantages.
The point I am trying to make is that should create a thread, discuss its advanges in a well thought out manner. To come into an MPC forum and misrepresent what MPCs actually do is counterpructive to your sales pitch. I am all about new and improved gear. The only reason why I ordered Maschine in the first place is because I immediately saw its potential as well as its faults in regards to do things the MPC does. I don't mind giving NI my humble feedback as well as Akai on these music production workstations....talk to you guys later. I have at least 6 hours to study and loads of homework.
One.
