MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

bobbysonz, homie you might have some problem with the pad sensor of your MPC. I had the same problem with my old MPC2000xl and I bought a new sensor and install it by myself - it's easy. I guess http://www.mpcstuff.com offer some sensors for AKAI MPC5000 . They are a very cool company. In your case it's stupid to claim AKAI for this problem because it has nothing to do with the operation system or the quality of the material. If I was you I would be very angry to the previous user of your MPC and not to AKAI ... :=) AKAI MPC5000 is the Rolls Royce of the hardware sequencers/samplers !

With verry poor customer support...

Actually, Rolls-Royce has very good customer support, (not that I know this personally..).

How old is the unit? If it's a new purchase, take it back. The mpc5k has bug and glitches, but bad pads and timing issues isn't one.
