bobbysonz, homie you might have some problem with the pad sensor of your MPC. I had the same problem with my old MPC2000xl and I bought a new sensor and install it by myself - it's easy. I guess http://www.mpcstuff.com offer some sensors for AKAI MPC5000 . They are a very cool company. In your case it's stupid to claim AKAI for this problem because it has nothing to do with the operation system or the quality of the material.If I was you I would be very angry to the previous user of your MPC and not to AKAI ... :=) AKAI MPC5000 is the Rolls Royce of the hardware sequencers/samplers !
