Hello,

I have a big problem that I hope the massive knowledge of this forum will be able to solve together;

I am using Cubase to bounce the sequences off my MPC. I have been doing this for a long time without any problems. Since I have installed the update to Cubase 5.5 I can't sync the MPC with cubase no more - it aint like it doesnt work at all, but it doesnt work properly: Whenever I want to record something, the first few milliseconds are "faster" than the acutal recording, it sounds strange.

As english is not my mother language and sounds speak more than words, I uploaded a soundfile: LISTEN

As you can hear, the first few milliseconds are faster / not on beat...

I gotta admit that it wasnt me that set up the midi connection as i suck at technology so I had my dude to do it...so he set up the midi action for my mpc, the focusrite firewire interface and cubase...so i think best solution now for me is to let you know the settings that are currently set up on the MPC and cubase;

MPC settings:
Mode: Midi Clock
Shirt early: 0
Midi Input: 1
Song Pointer: Off
SyncIn=ON

(MIDI Machine Control settings Send MMC:Off)

everything as it used to be when it worked without any problems...

I have also uploaded a screenshot of the settings in cubase for you to check out: CLICK

I really hope you can help me out. Your help is appreciated..

take care
maze

you mean i should make the metronome count 4 times before the recording starts? if so, it already does so at the moment...still **** up, as you can hear on the sound file :(

could you please let me know where and how i can do this? Like I said, I gotta admit I am a technology noob...I aint skilled at anything but rockin the MPC as such :D
