MPC3000 / CUBASE SYNC PROBLEM

Hello,

I have a big problem that I hope the massive knowledge of this forum will be able to solve together;

I am using Cubase to bounce the sequences off my MPC. I have been doing this for a long time without any problems. Since I have installed the update to Cubase 5.5 I can't sync the MPC with cubase no more - it aint like it doesnt work at all, but it doesnt work properly: Whenever I want to record something, the first few milliseconds are "faster" than the acutal recording, it sounds strange.

As english is not my mother language and sounds speak more than words, I uploaded a soundfile: LISTEN

As you can hear, the first few milliseconds are faster / not on beat...

I gotta admit that it wasnt me that set up the midi connection as i suck at technology so I had my dude to do it...so he set up the midi action for my mpc, the focusrite firewire interface and cubase...so i think best solution now for me is to let you know the settings that are currently set up on the MPC and cubase;

MPC settings:
Mode: Midi Clock
Shirt early: 0
Midi Input: 1
Song Pointer: Off
SyncIn=ON

(MIDI Machine Control settings Send MMC:Off)

everything as it used to be when it worked without any problems...

try turning the "pre" click on for the metronome, that will buff out those milliseconds for you, or at least it did for me.

you mean i should make the metronome count 4 times before the recording starts? if so, it already does so at the moment...still **** up, as you can hear on the sound file

try unclicking "always send start message" or add 8 bars to the intro, otherwise your settings look like mine, thus i dont use a 3k though

could you please let me know where and how i can do this? Like I said, I gotta admit I am a technology noob...I aint skilled at anything but rockin the MPC as such

its an option on the bottom right side if the settings picture you posted.

and how do i add 8 bars to the intro?
thanks alot for your help fella, i really appreciate it!

what i ment by adding 8 bars is let play as normal but with extra bars in the beginning,the timing will sync after the milsecs u talked about and then go back and delete the off tempoed 8 bars
