2500 is nice but at the end of the day the features ain't worth the heavy price tag
Mpc 4000

Also I wonder why people believe mpc 2000xl can't have cf readers and internal hard drives ...also scsi external hard drives ...$ 300 screen replacements is expensive I agree tho
But some people don't need all the features the mpc 2500 has ...jj OS isn't needed for music and only internet producers know it exist imo ...
I agree mpc 2500 is better then 2000xl but doesn't make u better
As a producer

That bein said, Ive had tremendous joy with my 2kxl, building it, customizing it, making it MY machine, and not having to worry about it taking a beating. Besides the screen issue, the 2kxl is far more reliable, less prone to issues, better quality build, AND easy, straight forward, and capable. My $0,02

I've read of a couple bugs here and there but how serious are they?
