I would do grassroots and hire someone I know who is dedicated to work for me/with/without money and let them scout you out and get you work. But no manager, I mean NO manager is not going to take up someone who is not proven and have a record. SHARKS and unexperienced people will be glad to, but your career won't go anywhere. Dove, how did that LA project turn out? Are you getting spins of those records? If you are, are the spins being tracked? You could have spinlists and tracklists and easily find a manager with data to show you are HOTTT...
BTW managers don't get paid, unless you get paid. That's why there is a huge risk and their dedication must be for you. lastly, and I will shut up, you don't want a management company with a "lot of artists" how much attention do you think you will get? You need someone who is going to be there for thick or thin and during the lowest get you "that work".
