I've had plenty of gear that ive always treated well, and still have running as good as new; two machines in two months that have broken down behond use (no sound produced by the machine) is worth a mention in my opinion.
I'm glad for you your machine is working, i certainly wouldn't wish this **** experience on anyone else. Im passionate about music, and making it so yeah im passionate about now being one and a half grand down with only broken machine after broken machine to show for it.
In one of the threads I expressed that I'm sad the MPC 5000's you received were so problematic. I'd call that bad luck, hope the next replacement works perfect and you put the same energy into hyping the 5K like you did hating on it lol.
But really man, going from thread to thread and "warning" people like you do lets people think you have an agenda.
Also there was so much negative energy towards the 5K since it's out (partly due to a famous guy's rant) that warnings like that aren't really needed.. the 5K is already like the most hated machine ever made by man.
But there were always lemons in each and every product line.. also no MP was bug free from the beginning. But as it is now (with v 2.0), those people that are in the know, know the 5K is a beast. Maybe the QC at Akai wasn't the best for some consecutive mondays.. but like I said, I'd call it bad luck receiving 2 different bad units.
