Mac Computer Editing Programs?

Have a mac computer would love a program to edit my sounds and help out with my mpc 2000xl any suggestions?

There are any number of programs out there, but I use Audacity (free)

I like Sound Studio 3 much better than Audacity. Audacity's GUI (Mac version, I don't know about other versions) is confusing, although both are equally powerful apps.

Isn't MPC Pad 187 only for MPC-1000? wisdom_listens is looking for OS X apps that works with MPC2000XL.

My bad..........but honestly, you could mark your sample in sound studio, and export "slices" or CHOPS" to your disk.........still would have to "build" your program....

either way with software or not your gonna do more than half the work manually........

I agree, I mainly use Sound Studio for ripping songs from vinyl, crop sounds from audio CD, and simple editing stuff (like merging stereo to mono, EQ, etc.) from audio CDs.
I've never used PGM file editors on PC or Mac. I don't think I'll ever going to use it.

Use Bootcamp to partition your Mac HD, put a Windows OS on it and buy MPC Editor and Sony Sound Forge and use the schit out of it like I do!

A decent alternative to CD Architect for Mac would be nice to know about. Anyone burn red book CDs on a Mac?

I'd like to know also. I was spoiled by using Sound Forge and CD Architect for my continuous DJ mixes on my old Sony VAIO.
It's somewhat of a pain switching back and forth from Mac to Win7 on my MBP but I'll do it for the love of the music.

I've only just switched to Mac and I've bought Cubase 6 and 'obtained' the obligatory Waves bundle. It's just the smaller apps like CD Architect and Sound Forge I'll miss... definitely Sound Forge just thinking about it. I've been using it for over 10 years.

I'm sure I will find a better solution than using Bootcamp though.

I don't know the name, but apparently the cd-burning program (waveburner maybe?) that comes with Logic is pretty bad ass and full featured.

In regards to CD-architect, what a great prog that was...for a few versions. I upgraded once though, and they stripped a bunch of features out.

As for the OP's question, I think Audacity is your best bet.
