Controlling Maschine software through your MPC ?

I mean, we don't see MV8000 users here all the time touting that do we.
Do NI really need to get mpc users to switch to Maschine this much?

If you could select slices via external controller, or MPC, Maschine would maybe be more useful. As it is, I wasn't impressed by the 1.6 features and I don't like it's controller much. I did give it a chance, like I have many times since it's debut, but it's not for me in it's current state. However, if it's only it's sounds that you want, you can use them without Maschine...you just have to find the folder on the hard drive. You already have them installed, so go find them. They're just basic wav files. It would be multitudes easier unless you want to use the software for a particular reason. The sounds are OK for use with drum replacement software when those acoustic recordings sound a bit soggy and you didn't record it, so can't re-record.

maschine sounds sound hugely better when loaded into my mp4k.In general.Take this with a pinch of salt.Make your own test and see.Cant carry the 4k around the world tho.

yeah the mpc has those d/a outputs to bump the sound up but tryna hook mpc up the machine and controlling it via the mp is long.

just use one or the other or like man said just load the sounds into ur mp.

cos both of the units are sampling drum samplers they do the same thing so why rock them together? thats like tryna hook to dvd players up together and controlling one dvd player to another dvd player

To play w/ the SP-1200 mode and also use VST's . I'm basically using it as a module now .

imho i think you'd be better off controling the mpc with maschine. maschine is way more powerful, has better timing, and overall has better specs and makes better beats. its unbeatable in that area.......


seriously, id sample that shit or say fugg it. but thas me. you do got valuable resource of sample material. use it to make loops on the go, then sample into mpc and chop the f outa them.

Honest Question: Are the built in sounds from Maschines Library the business? What makes it worth using as a module as opposed to battery or any other drum module?
