So MG, when did we get a 4k? Just checking......but since the 4k is multitimbral, I think it would be wise for you to hook up a midi keyboard and trigger your samples from there.

That's not the only way to do what you're asking, but it's an easier alternative.

still learning the 4K so no idea what im doing really. I have a drum program with various 808s ive loaded and a violin multisample program. I created a drum pattern and when I go to program > switch to violin program it plays the drum pattern with the violin samples. I want them to both play. sucks with no manual.

uh oh,lets brace ourselves for a bunch of how do I threads again... my advice,search before you ask questions about the 4k.

@ coz nah you can handle it,its just being patient and getting out of it what you want.if you know how to sample and set your tracks up to record,like any other mpc,you halfway know it.but the good thing about it is,its a machine you can grow with as you go.
