Hey All. I just bought an MPD24 today from a dude on Craigslist for $50. Pads and knobs work great, the catch is that the faders are just, like, GONE. I cleaned all the kool-aid stains from the units little crevices and what not (he said his little cousin got ahold of it and pulled out the faders), and now I am wondering if there is ANY way to replace the fader stick. A search on MPCSTUFF.COM yielded little results because I don't really know what I am looking for. If there is no hope, I won't be completely heartbroken, because I can still use the pads (my 1st Akai product and I love the way the pads feel) and the knobs, which seem like they can be assigned to function as faders themselves in my DAW. On all the DJ mixers I have ever owned, the little metal part sticks up from the fader slot and you just put a cap on it, so it's odd to me that the faders are just gone. Anyhow, thanks in advance for any advice or help. Pic below and URL for parts page I was looking at.
