="deck daddy"]Man, why is the cable hanging outside the MP??? On the 3000LE I installed an internal SCSI drive, and in the thread about it in the 60/3000 part of the forums there is pics of what parts you'll need. No cables outside, and you can still use the rear port...
thanks for adding those pics. imo, this has been a most useful thread with all the added pics for the different samplers. i can see this thread has seen quite a bit of views since original post. hopefully many are benefitng.
what os are you using on the 3000LE? are you using only Sandisk flash card with that? i heard that if os is not Valixi 3.50, then this brand is the only one to use. other 3.50 os, then any brand cf can be use.
the MPC3000 and LE models are more flexible for 'modding'. the rear scsi port of the sampler is connected to a small circuit board and can be easily removed by unscrewing the 2 hex screws. and all changes can be done 'inside' the sampler. the MPC2000 is a different story. the MPC2000 rear scsi port is soldered to the mainboard and that cannot be removed so the added scsi port has to be done outside with added cables. at least, that is the explanation i got from mpcstoragesolution.com and it does make sense to us.
btw, my friend's MPC2000 with the added internal card reader is still working awesome!
peace.
