I really like the room JD created in this track. It really sounds like he take you to the best hearing position on a live gig.
The reflections of the drums fit really nice to the delay stuff that is already in the original sample. Great track

I think Tom Scott's Today for Pete Rock's Reminisce is my favorite. I've tried to recreate it for practice, and I still can't figure out how he filtered certain parts of the chops given the SP1200 and basic EQ he was using. I saw an interview where he said parts of "Ahh Ahh Ahh" vocal weren't as thick as he wanted and he got a mic and did some "Ahh Ahh Ahh" himself. Pete's Rock's the Don.

I like "one in a million" by pete rock & c.l. smooth I can't recall the original track, its on my hard drive but great work- not to take nothing away from dilla but, he's over emphasized. I think the 45 king,the track masters,sir jinx & the bomb squad was dope too.but the thing is when they were banging,the producer wasn't the star,so the names are not known like they are today.but the real hiphop heads know who they r.
