its hard to tell what you are doing wrong if you dont tell us what you have tried. Go to TRIM window and chop sample, AUTO chop is best IMHO for patched phrase, then hit EDIT then hit CONVERT, choose patch phrase in the newly opened window and hey presto you have a patched phrase. Gotta know the BPM of the sample that you wanna be a patched phrase

Yes I've followed these steps and it still doesn't work, it doesnt even say "PP" at the end of the sample when it goes back to the trim screen. sigh. maybe I should upgrade to jj os 2 or something?

you know it should be very easy to do, try mono samples, make sure its not a stereo sample and its a lesst a few seconds long. try that and dont give up as it seems you must be doin something wrong if it is not working

could it be that it doesn't take u to the new PP sample, i think it takes u to the original sample u started with, try scrolling to the end of the sample list. u may find the sample "*samplename*PP"

ah very cool, it almost wasnt worth mentioning, but then i remembered being a bit thrown by JJ's programming the first time i did that, i found the sample at the end of the sample list - JJ doesnt really use aphabetical list structure, seems to be just the new ones get thrown to the end - but hey ho - sorted now!
