beware statements like these

no offense homie, but that's a funny statement.
i do not work for digidesign or avid, so it makes no difference to me what DAW someone uses.
i'm just speaking from my own personal experience, taste and preference as a producer/engineer.
i was lucky enough to intern at Sigma Sound in Philadelphia (if you don't know about Sigma peep game
http://www.sigmasound.com/client-list/), where i got a chance to use an SSL Console and Studer 2" tape machine. i got to hear raw recording, pre mastering, playing back off 2" tape, through an SSL Console and hear a true analog sound.
i also have worked with a bunch of producers who all use different DAW's (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, Digital Performer, etc...) and i'll tell you this... i can hear a difference with all of them. it def has to do with the soundcard used and the way the program handles and translates audio back.
i can even hear a difference when i make a beat in ableton live and bounce it out as a stereo .wav vs. taking that same beat and stemming it out to pro tools and bouncing it out as a stereo .wav. when i stem it out to pro tools the beat sounds fuller, warmer, punchier and more stereo wide, than it did playing back in ableton. i've also stemmed out ableton beats to Logic in friends studios and in Logic it sounds better too, but not as good as pro tools, in my opinion.
i think there is a noticeable difference in each DAW, but again... this is only my opinion and personal taste.
just like some people say they can't hear a difference in sound between the different models of mpc's. i can hear a difference in all of them. also, from using all kinds of analog gear over the years (mpc's, eps's, asr-10's, sp-1200's, sp-303's, roland tr-909 and tr-808's, etc...) i can hear a beat and 9 times out of 10 guess what it was made on. only thing that throws me off these days is beats done on computer software. i've done some beats in ableton, stemmed them out to pro tools, mixed and mastered them, and fooled my studio partners. they thought the beat was done in my mpc 2000XL or my mpc 60 and it was made in ableton.
at the end of the day though... who really cares?
lets just make music.
