I meant on the software side, companies make an attempt to provide bug fixes. At least the software I own. But software for computers is just so much more complicated. I'd expect some minor bugs between releases, but actual updates do tend to be much more frequent than any MPC I've owned.
But hardware, like I said, should be much simpler to keep as bug free as possible. I think the thing now is that hardware pieces do so much more than they did years ago. I guess it could be more complicated, but still shouldn't be as complicated as an actual computer app, IMO!
And I did mention the software of those hardware workstations. I didn't go into all the details as you can visit their respective forums and read for yourself. I assume hardware is simpler to fix bugs. But simpler doesn't mean easy.
I don't know how fast updates will occur. But I fully believe Akai has every intention to make this a successful product. They have reached out to a lot of producers as well as members across numerous music production forums for feedback. The video tells you this much.
I get excited with each new MPC release (see old MPC 2500, 4000, and 5000 threads). I can't think about anythine else right now. I am redesigning my entire home lab around these new MPCs.
