I also studied Economics. But I didn't have to go to college to learn that Economist never agree.
You have no idea what the MPC Ren does exactly and you are here stating Akai will only get 33% of their market. Where did you come up with that number anyway?

I believe Akai is looking way beyond what you can currently see.
You can say it in as many threads as you like until you convince yourself....but as it stands right now, you don't believe your own words. Otherwise you wouldn't be here trying so hard to convince others.
The standalone MPC is realizing the same fate as standalone digital audio workstations. Today its Pro Tool, Cubase, Logic, DP...not Roland VS2480, Yamaha AW4416, etc. The hardware cunterparts are superior in terms of stability/sync but not as powerful as software-based DAWs. Its a similar situation when you compare the MPC Ren to an MPC 2000. The MPC 5000 is the last product of its kind from any company. Pick up one of those as I suspect its the only hardware sampler that will come in some time.
As far as audio engineers? MPCs are not purchased by engineers. Its a producer's tool. The vintage mode emulates the sounds of legacy MPCs. It is no different than the numerous software companies producing emulations of classic analog gear. Its an option that you don't have to turn on.
