What is a great turntable strictly for sampling?

I was thinking about copping a Stanton T.62 what do you guys think?

The Stanton T.62 is a good turntable. I got a Numark TT and I love it.

Nice bro I'll check that out as well. I'm reading alot that the needle used determines sound quality a great deal, any suggestions on that?

Its the needle first off, then the pitch functions, then durability. I have an assortment of needles. You don't want the scratch type for sampling. I love my Stantons. and my STR100 is a great record player..the pitch functions rock, and it has a digital out...plus no need to ground. And it stops on a dime.

It's about as broad as it is long. Ian has made the main points, but it's also worth considering that certain turntables won't play at certain speeds.

I've got a set of 1210s and they will play at the usual 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. But then I've got a Stanton T120 because it will play at those speeds and 78.

Ortofon do a specific needle called the Arkiv I think specifically for recording vinyl. I assume for "Arkiv-ing" your records haha. I've never gone wrong with their products, although they are quite pricey.
