thoughts. This other drive says its hot swappable, http://www.psism.com/psiiic.htm
but then below it says not on the MPC,
also the main point of the IDE Kiosk Flash Media Card Reader would be the speed, but research makes me believe that the mpc would not benefit from the speed because of this article http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/ide/modesUDMA-c.html which basically says to use ultra dma mode on these type drives the motherboard or device must use a controller and on midicase he writes "Reader's that use a "controller card" are not compatible."
So I'm hesitant to attempt the IDE KIOSK drive due to this information. Though they are different drives and just thoughts, I'm thinking the atapi drive is the only viable option for the mpc and that only ATAPI drives will be hot swappable on the MPC, but really I have no clue. I most likely will not order the IDE kiosk ever, due to fear of it not working or being hotswappable. I may however eventually go for the atapi one from compuapps and get back to you all with my results.
