We are given Mike credit we are just voicing concerns and thoughts.
We are dealing with two aspects here one is Mike the other is JJ, both have been known to listen to users with a pretty open mind from my experience.

No reason for this to be any different.

MPC-Tutor wrote:I think you guys need to step back a bit and give Mike some credit here. He's releasing a larger screen for both MPCs, with a free OS installed that is a massive upgrade on the current free JJOS. That's the product he's offering on his site. For anyone using the current free OS, this is a very big, exciting deal.

As for the 'paid' OS128XL - this premium OS is JJ's department, it's an optional extra he's choosing to offer. Clearly there is more optimizing to be done on that, so I guess you guys will have to wait to see what JJ can do with it before you decide whether or not to pay for it.

All in all, this is a very very positive thing to happen to the MPC community, but the JJOS XL power users will have to accept that they are in an incredibly small niche and may have to wait it out to see if JJ can conjure up a like-for-like large screen paid OS for them.

But it's the same as using the current screen so nothing is gained. :hmmm:

I guess the point was that if you need to use older OS's (open, edit, etc. old projects) and have the new screen installed.

Yeah but I'm gonna move forward with the new JJOS. It's not about staying where I am now, my whole thing is bridging the gap between the current JJOS and future big screen versions.

As of right now, when I wanna work on an older project, I load the older OS and manually convert it to an os2xl project (basically extract the elements I wanna rebuild around). As long as I could do that I was cool upgrading from os1 to os2 to os2xl. And now I'm cool upgrading to the new big screen OS.

not at all, only thing going thru my head at the moment is if i get this screen n have to switch to different OS from paid JJXL. Im bascially throwing $150 out the window and that thought is not sitting well with me..good progress regardless n happy yall picked Nym to do this.
