anyone else think this is a good idea?

.

have you realised that you are in fact not correct in assuming that for a good cut you should have same number for end and start points. In fact this number relates to samples and why would you repeat a sample, What it should be is the next sample and not over lap and repeat that very tiny bit you have added. Can makes a difference.
So in his case chop two should start 000368, otherwise you are repeating samples and adding glitch

edit***

@bliprock, i just re-looked at my mpc and how i chop, i would like it to be 000367, for the next chop, not 000368, because i search for zero crossing usually, there is a sample on either side of 000367, so naturally one side would be that and everything before that, and the other would be that and everything after that.

i checked it when i was chopping tonight, if i move over 1 sample on the next chop, i start off at a non zero point, i dont want that.

This feature request is sooo crucial. It's a big bump up in the workflow.

Also my 2 main advantages:

1) It automates what I have to do to each sample
2) It automates it repeatedly (Which pays back more than once the more you use it)

Huge Time Saver!! Thanks.

i didnt think about that, maybe it would have 2 totally separate modes though, or if it couldn't handle that, maybe turning it on would erase your chops with it off and it would give a warning message or something.

for instance if it was assigned to f2 and you had a few regular chops going, then you pushed f2 it would say, "warning, pressing do it will erase all your previous chops and start linked mode...continue?"

+1

I would dig this feature tweak as long as it could be turned on and off.
It most definitely would be an excellent enhancement and time saver.
the workflow would go something like this:

1. turn NDC "link" on.
2. set chop points
3. turn NDC "link" off.
4. fine tune chop points.
