Even in Sonar you have to preview at lower quality and then render offline if you want the best results. In RX2 Advanced ( Izotopes own app) Radius is every bit as slow so you have to do the same thing. The quality can be high be speed must be sacrificed. In a groovebox or drum sampler nobody wants to watch their idea loose steam while staring at a progress bar.
No part of Pro Tools is coming to the Ren , the Ren won't have warping or audio tracks, and the rendering will be offline. This is not good example.
I'm not saying anything in the Ren will be real-time or lightning fast. You must have missed my point of this whole discussion. I'm saying that since this same technology is used in Elastic Audio and happens to work wonderfully, even in real-time, then this same technology should work just as great in Ren in offline mode! I'm not talking about real-time vs offline or Pro Tools vs Ren, I'm just talking about the actual technology and just giving examples of where and how it is used! And for the record, this radius technology does work just as good at full 24-bit/192kHz quality as it does at lower resolutions and bit rate in Pro Tools, provided your computer has the balls to handle it.
