Well it depends on your hardware platform first when you decide what daw you can use.
For windows systems you've got Pro Tools, Cubase/Nuendo, Fruity Loops, Sonar, Acid Pro, Reasons, etc (but most of these are cross platformed too).
Logic Audio is strictly mac only. So unless you own one, I wouldn't consider this as a choice at the moment.
Maybe you should try a free version of Audacity, or a partially free version of Reaper. This should help you decide if you'd like to try something else. If by chance you have or end up purchasing a "doggle", steinberg allows you to try unrestricted but limited timed versions of their daw programs (cubase/nuendo).
