Sick, I see a lot of kool stuff in this picture. Can you name some of this gear ? (my eyes are all over that multi-track looking thing in the bottom shelf)
I see a tape machine too! hows the sound on that model? Ive been thinking of grabbing one myself. Can you shed some light on what exactly I should be looking for, what it comes to a Tape machine?

Thanks man, that is cool to hear :-D

The multitrack mixer is a Akai mg614, I really really love the way it sounds(warm and with some overdrive nice, fudgy and crunchy) ,
the tape compression( on the akaimg614) is also very nice and another cool thing is the EQ on the mixer.. they work really well!

The tape machine is not a special studio recorder I guess( Akai 4000DS), I got it from my grand pa, because he knew I wanted 1 for a long time, just to experiment with. When I got it I filled a whole bunch of tapes with a shitload of drumloops, so what I now usually do is take my drums from there, and sometimes when the song is almost finished, I will record it through the tape recorder and mix that track in the original cause it gives a lil extra uh... depth? in the music.

For the rest of the gear;

Yamaha Su700, A nice beatmachine that is underrated.

Mpc500, not my favorite thing anymore since I have the su700!

Electribe EA1, I like it .. fat basses and I like to midi out it to my SU700 for the clock.

And I also love the Alesis Philtre LFO, its kinda wicked what you can do with such a lil box.. also great for guitar styles like Cypress hill- Looking through the eye of the pig
Hope I helped you !

Tapuno wrote:I can, I repair them as a hobby. You wanna get one that works, and make sure the capstan wheel(distinguishible by a rubber ring)turns, that the tensioners operate and aren't overly loose or tight, and before you plug it in, take the face off and oil it.
Most parts are labeled in opwners manuals, and alot are available on the net. Happy huntin bro, and PM me if you have more questions.

Thanks for the info bro! I will definitely be hitting you up, cus I honestly don't shit about tape machines but I want one haha

I remember the pic your talking about, it was so simple but a powerful pic. It looked like it was perfect for a post card.

I can't remember the page though. The chair was on the right, mpc and table were on the left.
