Did you have the top casing off? If you have the newer pads/sensors at least you could take some solace in it being like a $40-50USD thing as opposed to $200. I'd be surprised if you don't have the newer ones. Until MPCStuff did the Fat Pads everybody just suffered or used full level.
So provided they're the newer ones, and the sensors are not the issue (really may not be, even the upgraded pads are terrible). So if that's the case it's more of a functional upgrade than a repair. Still costs, but it's like putting high quality tires on your vehicle. You gonna enjoy the ride way more.
