If that quote is taken at face value, not a marketing ploy, then the iMPC app [standalone mode] is severely lacking.
I still find it more enjoyable than Beatmaker 2 [standalone and certainly, in Tabletop].

Let's give Retronyms/AKAI, the benefit of the doubt.I'm sure this is doing well for both companies and I hope they reinvest some of that money into bettering iMPC for everyone.

I have respect for the developers at Intua, but it's not the right work environment, for me. I felt that it was clunky, which was two updates ago or so (the last time I used it).
What is cool is that Intua released the original Beatmaker (1) in 2008 (Aug 27 '08). Remember, it's version 1.0 of iMPC and I think we'll see it updated with more "MPC workflow" in the future, hopefully, not so distant
